New 8mm Cine Lens From Rokinon

Rokinon has been making some pretty decent manual lenses for a while now. Their 8mm, 14mm and 85mm have been out for a while. But you can now get your hands on the 8mm F3.8 “Cine” lens from B&H Photo Video. And the price is crazy… $350 is all that is standing between you and this great lens.

I love how someone is making an affordable lens that has filmmakers/video shooters in mind. I REALLY hope this turns into a line of Rokinon Cine lenses!

Canon T4i and 40mm Lens Available for Pre-Order

Canon has release yet another HDSLR. The Canon T4i hasn’t added too much to what Canon currently offers. Autofocus during filming, angled touch screen lcd, and improved low-light sensitivity are some of the new features we’re seeing on this camera.

Canon also has announced a new 40mm Pancake lens. This lens is one of the new video optimized lenses from Canon. So you will find it to be much more quiet compared to other lenses. I am interested to see where Canon takes this idea going forward.
