I am actually fairly interested in this camera. Yes its big, yes it has an ENG style, but the thing looks like a great work horse for those of us shooting events or have to adapt in unpredictable shooting environments.

Why I dig it:

  • Big sensor with more than a box around it.
  • XLR and normal audio settings.
  • Shoulder mount.
  • Legit video zoom lens (yes its lame for most things, but its nice to have).
  • Buttons. I like buttons.

You can pre-order the Sony NEX-EA50 on B&H today. Camera is expected in October.
