The Canon 60D is only $699 on B&H Photo Video and Amazon until May 25th. It really kills me that I don’t have the funds for one right now. In my opinion, the 60D is one of the best all around DSLRs for video right now. So if you are looking for an upgrade to your rebel line DSLR or a solid B-camera this is the camera for you.
Wondering what the difference between the Canon 5D Mark III and the Canon 6D is? This is a great question and an important one for those looking to get a full frame camera. You’d be surprised at how many subtle differences there are. Dave Dugdale from Learning DSLR Video has done a great job with his comparison. Be sure to check out his 6D training series as well.
Is my title too harsh? Should I give a rip about these two new cameras?
One of these cameras (the SL1) is just a small version of what is already available, and the other (the T5i) is just a small upgrade to the T4i which is still considered a new camera… But, if you are new to the DSLR game you have two more options to choose from!
Every Friday I am going to start sharing a few news items and articles I found interesting that week. I’ve never been interested in becoming the CNN of the DSLR/film blogging community. There are plenty of other sites who do a great job at it. So here is the first Friday Film Feed!
