I’ve been getting more and more into photography over the past year and have been eating up tutorials on speedlights, Lightroom and much more. Today I saw this video on FStoppers and thought I’d share it with you guys. With these kinds of videos you can always walk away with something practical. Love the camera point of view idea.
I saw this a while ago and just ran across it again recently and thought I would share it with you. I love seeing these pros with low end gear… It removes all the tech and really showcases their discipline, skill and patience as artists. I walked away very inspired by this. Good stuff!
I hate looking for stock images… Prices are all over the place, and its hard to find something when you don’t always know exactly what you’re looking for. Luckily I saw a tweet announcing Stocksy. I am really excited about about their high quality, low cost images. Finally someone thinking outside the box when it comes to stock images and curation!
Here are some articles and videos I found interesting this week. Have a great weekend!
I don’t consume a lot of photography training, or at least I didn’t until I had the opportunity to watch this Headshot tutorial DVD. I had always assumed photography was a completely different world with little crossover. And I think a lot of us foolishly believe that filmmaking/video is a superior medium that evolved from photography. Especially with all the hubbub of the DSLR video movement.
Patrick from FStoppers.com contacted me and asked me if I would be interested in checking out their recent DVD release “Peter Hurley: The Art Behind The Headshot” I snap off a few stills on a lot of my projects so if anything I thought I might walk away a better stills shooter.
But upon watching this extensive 4 hour DVD, I realized how valuable this course is. Even to video folk like us. Here are 5 reasons you should check it out too:
I am sure you have seen a few of these “Sh*t People Say” meme videos floating around the past few days and I had to share these two.
Which sayings are you guilty of?
I Have corresponded a little with Andy Newman online in the past few months. He has done some really cool projects and recently he shot this BTS for the FStoppers contest. I really enjoyed watching how the photographer Nick Fancher accomplished these shots.
