I really enjoyed this documentary story and style. Just goes to show that with a good story and some cinematography know-how, you can create something incredible without extravagant sets or special effects.
I recently discovered MustHD monitors and have been interested in some of the features they offer on their 7″ monitor. Price starts at $315 and includes a dual Canon LP-E6 battery plate with you can swap out for other battery types. I also really dig the HDMI locks. Check out this video for more info on the monitor.

If I use a piece of gear a lot I like to upgrade it to something nice. That’s why I own a Wooden Camera cage, I use it all the time, so having a nice minimal cage is worth it to me. Same should go for camera straps. If you use one all the time you might consider upgrading your stock strap with one from Designer Straps. Check out their website and hang your camera with style!
Monitors are an important investment. They do much more than just help you compose and expose your image correctly, they are the window to your clients first impression of your work on set. You don’t want that window to be small or to look dirty. But finding a solid video monitor at an affordable price is tough. That’s where F&V’s F3 monitor comes in. The F3 monitor has one of the best images I’ve seen in it’s price range. And with a resolution of 1024×600 it’s display is perfect for DSLR shooters.

I really enjoyed this op-doc this morning and thought I would share it with you. The visuals and original narration make it a great watch. Vimeo Description
After the writer and theologian John Hull became completely blind in 1983, he kept an audio diary of his experience. This film is a dramatization using those recordings.
I recently started using two cameras to film my podcasts and needed to rethink how I monitor them. I am aways striving to make things more efficient, so rather than mount each monitor separately, I built a rig to hold both monitors. The new setup allows me to remove the monitors with just one clamp. This makes packing up my podcast gear a breeze.
The Aputure V-Screen monitor is one of the best affordable monitors money can buy today. You can’t find another brand that has a monitor at this price with this many features. As someone who is always looking for affordable gear to recommend, I was very excited to see Aputure come out with something this feature packed at a modest price.
