Its always difficult to find affordable gear that is of high quality. Well in the case of support rods, I’ve found a great brand that offers a strong affordable set of rods.

Really good audio quality do you use rode videomic very close to your mouth or something similar?
Thanks for the very  useful tips!

Nope. Just a H4n on a mic stand.

    Nice article but…

I found on Alibaba and on Ebay multiple sellers that have 15mm carbon fiber tubes that are very sturdy and light.

    I purchased a pair of 1 meter long tubes for 38$ + 12$ shipping. That’s 2 x 40 inches.

I think this is a great deal !

Informative but the entire video is a giant “that’s what she said” joke.

I recently saw your video on the cheap cowboy studios shoulder rig and was thinking of using of using these rods instead of the redrock micro rods. I plan on cutting the to about 9 to 12 inches. Would you recommend this?

I’m wondering the same thing as Marty as I plan on using both. What do you think would be a good size rod paired up with the CowboyStudio?

Hey man. Are you able to list the parts for the custom cage rig your made? Are the side handles from redrockmicro? thx
