This is another great little piece by Drea Cooper & Zackary Canepari of California is a Place.
This micro doc is a very unique one. I am not condoning it, but I found it quite curious. After you watch the  video I’d like to hear what you think about it.

“In Silicon Valley we have the highest concentration of aggressive people in the United States. And it’s a place where all life has been reduced to working in a cubicle and then after work going out to have a Merlot at the Fromage bar. I’m kind of looking for something a little more primitive, a little more basic, something that appeals to the essential nature of a man.”

I loved the footage, the progression, the story. A little more in depth with some of the “fighters” would add some more depth and I think the fast editing 05.40-06.00 was kind of fucked up. It didnt fit together with the rest of the movie.
Awesome job! How did you find these guys?

wow! great idea! but i think it reminds me of something… oh yes! thats right! it was a movie back in the nineties… i think it was called… fight club ?!? i dont get it… why dont those guys just quit their jobs and become wrestlers or firemen or something?

Love the highly contrasted black and white and the editing of the piece.

A little old, but worth the plug. Cooper and Canepari did amazing work with California is a Place. Fantastic microdocs. Inspired me a lot when I first saw them.
