Viewer Questions: 6D vs 5D3, Lenses, Rig Brands

I received a lot of positive feedback on the last Viewer Questions video so I thought I would start doing more of them.

1. I can afford either the 5D Mark III or the 6D. Which should I get?

• I would recommend the Canon 6D if you don’t have a lot of gear. The extra $1000 you save will go toward lenses and other gear. If you are also going to be doing a lot of photography or you want to record via clean HDMI you should consider a 5D3. Check out Dave Dugdale’s 6D vs 5D Mark III video.
  

2. What lens should I get?

• Tamron 24-70mm F2.8 is a killer lens and can be used a ton.

3. Which rig, tripod and other gear brands are good?

• Wooden Camera, Zacuto, Redrock, Jag35 Express35, SmallHD.
