The age of full frame sensors is upon us. Just this week Canon announced the 6D. Thats the 5th full frame camera announcement in the past week kids… Only a little while ago there was really only one solid, full frame camera that could be used for video use (the Canon 5D mark II). As of today there are now TEN (check out the lineup below). And half of them are around $3k.

Here is where I want to hear from you, now that full frame has becoming available to all, whats next? And please for the love of pete don’t say 4k…

It would be great to start getting better codecs in some of these cameras, that way we wouldn’t have to resort to external recorders in order to get 4:2:2 or better.

How about a proportionally increasing number of good independent films? That’s what this whole thing was supposed to be about, right?

I think people will stick with their glass. You’re either a nikon, canon, or sony shooter. I don’t see the reasonable point in selling or adapting ALL of you glass just to use a body that’s comparable to another brand of body.

Best feature of Black Magic Cinema camera is Raw video footage, if that comes in any new full frame DSLR then that will become the best camera.
