This is my audio setup for Youtube and video production. It is a single wireless stand that doubles as a boom setup for shotgun microphones! The video below walks through all the parts used to build this all in one audio rig.
My goal for this setup was to have a single rolling stand that held everything I needed to get great sound. With this setup I have a shotgun microphone, wireless audio recorder and headphones always at the ready. No more fussing with stands and boom arms!
- Impact Rolling Stand
- Rapid Baby Adapter
- Rode PSA1 Microphone Arm
- Deity S-Mic 2
- Sound Devices MixPre-3 Audio Recorder
- Cheese Plate for MixPre
- Friction Arm and Clamp
- USB Battery
- USB-C Cable
- XLR Cable for Shotgun Mic
- Sand Bag
If the above audio kit is too expensive, here are some more budget friendly options I mentioned in the video.
- $50 Stand
- $50 Microphone Arm
- 5/8 Adapter for arm
I didn’t mention this, but you will need an adapter for the more affordable mic arm.
- Deity D3 Pro Mic Kit
- Rode VideoMicro
- 3.5mm Cable
- Zoom H1n Recorder
You could use any recorder, but this one is probably the best option for around $100
