How to Make Double Exposure Videos!

July 23, 2018 by Caleb Pike —

Filming double exposure videos is a great way to spice up your videos and all you need is a camera! I show you how to create simple double exposure videos without any lights or fancy gear.

WHAT YOU NEED:

1. Camera – Can really be anything, Canon, Sony, Panasonic, doesn’t matter.

2. Subject – For this type of double exposure, you need footage of a subject in front of a white background. This could be a person, object, even a landscape with a bright background. For lighting, I simply used a blown out background by filming in my garage. You could also use a bright window or door.

3. Background – This background will be over or under-layed behind your subject. Could be photos, videos anything! Like I said in the video, something with lots of dynamic range (bright and dark areas) works best. Feel free to move the background to the best spot behind your subject footage.

THATS IT!
